The Cozzia Qi XE Pro Duo, model CZ-718, is a massage chair with two 4D mechanisms on one long track. A 4D roller travels up, down, sideways, and in and out, and it can also change speed partway through a stroke. At Merit Home Furniture it is $14,349 before applicable taxes, and it is sold through our Duncan store on Vancouver Island.
Cozzia Canada lists the chair at $14,999, so our price sits $650 below it. At 32 inches it is the widest of the seven Cozzia chairs we list. It ships in two boxes and weighs 289.9 lb out of them. Cozzia covers it for 3 years of parts and 3 years of labour, tied with the Quantum for the longest term in the line.
The buyer I'd point to this chair is someone who has been paying for massage every week or two and wants most of that at home. If a gentler chair already feels right, the $4,550 step up from the Zen Duo is hard to justify.
What the Cozzia Qi XE Pro Duo is, and what $14,349 buys
The Qi XE Pro Duo is the most expensive dual-mechanism chair among the Cozzia massage chairs we list. Cozzia names the two mechanisms upper and lower and says the track runs from neck to buttock. Both are 4D, so the two 4D mechanisms can vary rhythm as well as depth, with the node size in the table below.
The main features and benefits Cozzia Canada lists for this model fall into five groups:
- Two rollers at once. Cozzia says its detection pinpoints 36 key spinal points for the rollers to work.
- Air. Air cells run from the shoulders to the knees, with the count and intensity levels below.
- Heat. Four zones, with the listing conflict covered below.
- Programs. 36 included across automatic, stretch, manual and Chair Doctor modes, plus unlimited custom programs.
- Controls. A wired touch pad, a smart dial, armrest buttons and offline voice control, which the manual says works in English only.

Qi XE Pro Duo specifications, with Cozzia's conflicting figures marked
These figures come from Cozzia Canada's CZ-718 page and the CZ-718 user manual, checked against our Qi XE Pro Duo listing. Where two sources disagree, the table prints the cautious number and names the other.

On the height row, Cozzia's FAQ does not name which models are the longer ones. This chair detects leg length and adjusts the calf rest itself, which helps, but a tall buyer is better off sitting in one first.
How the Qi XE Pro Duo massages: rollers, air compression, heat therapy and Chair Doctor
Dual 4D mechanisms on the Li Flex track
The Qi XE Pro Duo's two rollers work the back at the same time. One program can knead the shoulders while the lower roller works near the lumbar. Cozzia does not publish exactly where one mechanism hands off to the other. The two-stage Li Flex track lets the backrest drop to nearly flat, which is where the 9 stretch programs do their work.
Air compression massage in 64 cells
Air compression massage on this chair uses 64 cells. The manual's diagram splits them into 22, 26 and 16 across three zones of the chair. The foot rollers have a stretching function, and the calf rest moves on its own to fit leg length.
Heat therapy: 4 zones, not 7
Heat therapy is where the paperwork disagrees. Cozzia Canada's page and the manual both name 4 heat zones: the legs, the lumbar, and the upper and lower mechanisms. The Zen Duo, by Cozzia's count, heats only the legs and lumbar. Our product page's spec table says 7, and the same page's overview says 4, so we print Cozzia's 4.
Chair Doctor and the hand scanner
Chair Doctor is the program Cozzia describes as AI-powered. In Cozzia Canada's words, it "uses real-time biofeedback to scan your body for muscle tension, heart rate, and oxygen levels". It then shapes the massage around that scan. With the chair on wifi, the manual says a user account can keep a history of those readings.
Is the Qi XE Pro Duo worth $4,550 more than the Zen Duo?
The Qi XE Pro Duo sits between two Cozzia chairs we list. This table sets the three side by side, using Cozzia Canada's figures and our live prices.
| Zen Duo | Qi XE Pro Duo | Quantum | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $9,799 | $14,349 | $16,549 |
| Mechanism | Two 3D | Two 4D | 5D, 27 sensors |
| Air cells | 40 | 64 | 73 |
| Heat zones | 2 | 4 | 6 |
| Auto programs | 18 | 25 | 24 |
| Width | 30.7 in | 32 in | 31.8 in |
| Warranty | 2 yr parts, 2 yr labour | 3 and 3 | 3 and 3 |
The table above shows what the extra money buys. For a buyer who sits in the chair every day, the change of pace in a 4D stroke is the reason to pay. For someone who uses a chair twice a week to unwind, the Zen Duo does most of the same work.
The Quantum costs $2,200 more again, trading the second mechanism for sensors that adjust roller pressure instead. The Qi XE Pro Duo's own edge is its second mechanism, and Cozzia's Quantum page lists no second one. That makes the choice between those two a matter of how each one feels, not a clear step up.
People also ask which Costco massage chair is best. We don't sell warehouse club chairs, so we can't rank them. The three checks in this guide still apply: the warranty years, who comes to fix it on the Island, and the width against the door.
How much room a Qi XE Pro Duo needs, and getting 290 lb indoors
A Qi XE Pro Duo needs a patch of floor about 48 inches wide, counting the 32 inch chair and Cozzia's 8 inches on each side. The manual asks for 8 inches behind and 31.5 inches clear in front, shown with the chair reclined and the legrest raised. Rolling it on a wood floor can leave marks, the manual warns.
The base box is 33.5 inches wide, wider than many interior doors. Measuring the doorway and every stair turn before ordering saves a hard afternoon. The manual's moving page shows two people lifting it, and Cozzia says that is what it takes.
The chair wants a grounded outlet within reach of the cord shown in the table above, and the manual says no adapter. It is for indoor use only, between 32 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Winter deliveries need one more step. The manual says a chair brought in from the cold should sit for an hour before use, so condensation can clear.
Our Duncan store delivers across the Island for $150, assembly included, and it can also reach some of the Gulf Islands; call for details. Picking it up in Duncan costs nothing. The full terms are on our delivery and pickup page.
Qi XE Pro Duo warranty in Canada, and who repairs Cozzia chairs on the Island
The warranty on Cozzia chairs varies by model, and the Qi XE Pro Duo carries the longest term in the line, covered above. The manual calls it a "three-year in-home service and parts warranty". It starts on the date of purchase, not the delivery date, and it cannot be transferred to a second owner.
The catch for Vancouver Island is in the fine print. In the manual's words: "Field service is only available in the United States and in major metropolitan areas in Canada". Cozzia's Canadian warranty page adds that some fixes, like a remote, are done by the owner with parts Cozzia ships free.
On the Island, that gap is ours to fill. Merit stands behind Cozzia's warranty on the Island, ordering parts and doing the repair work ourselves. Cozzia asks for the serial number and a dated receipt on every claim, so keep both together.
A few more terms from Cozzia and from Merit worth knowing before buying:
- A display model's warranty is prorated, starting the day the store first plugged it in.
- Cozzia will not take a chair back for a change of mind. Merit will look at an exchange within 30 days, case by case, and a special order carries a 24% deposit.
- SmartOne, Zucora's extended plan, lasts 5 years. Its coverage for massage chairs is not yet confirmed, so that is a question for us.
- Coverage is for home use only, not rental or business use.
Where can someone buy a Cozzia chair? Cozzia's FAQ answers that its chairs are sold through authorized dealers. The same FAQ says all of them are made in Cozzia's factory in Xiamen, China.
Qi XE Pro Duo drawbacks, and when to ask a doctor first
The price is the first drawback. It is the second most expensive of our seven Cozzia chairs. A standing appointment with a massage therapist also offers what no chair can, such as an assessment.
The width is the second. A tight hallway or a turning stair can rule this chair out before the price does.
The scanner is the third. Chair Doctor reads heart rate and blood oxygen, but the chair is a massage chair, not a medical test. Health Canada notes that pulse oximeter readings can be less accurate in people with dark skin. It adds that they "may be less accurate as true oxygen saturation decreases". A worrying number on the chair is a reason to see a doctor, not to trust the chair.
Cozzia's manual sets limits on use. It does not recommend sessions longer than 30 minutes, or more than 5 minutes on one spot. It lists people who should talk to a doctor before using the chair, including anyone who:
- wears a pacemaker or other electronic medical device
- may be pregnant
- has phlebitis, thrombosis or a higher risk of blood clots
- has had recent surgery, or has pins or screws in the legs or feet
- has a spinal disorder, osteoporosis or diabetes
The full list, and the warning signs that mean calling 9-1-1, are in our guide on when to check with a doctor. If pain or discomfort starts during a massage, Cozzia says to stop and consult a doctor.

Trying a Qi XE Pro Duo through our Duncan store
Call the Duncan store before driving in, and ask whether a Qi XE Pro Duo is set up to sit in. A useful half hour runs like this:
- Measure first. Bring the narrowest doorway width and the room's floor space, so the footprint figured above can be checked on the spot.
- Start low. Run a full body program at a low intensity, then a stretch program with the chair nearly flat.
- Feel the heat and feet. Try a lower back program with the roller heat on, then a foot program.
- Compare. If a Zen Duo is set up too, run the same program on it and decide whether the step up in price feels worth it.
