Ashley furniture near you on Vancouver Island comes from one of two places: Ashley's own HomeStore in Victoria, or an independent store such as Merit Home Furniture. We list 648 Ashley pieces, and each one is stocked or ordered by our Duncan, Campbell River or Port Alberni store.
Ashley Furniture Industries is the American company behind Signature Design by Ashley and Benchcraft, the two names printed on many of our Ashley pages. It describes itself as "the world's largest manufacturer of home furnishings." On our site a full Ashley sofa starts at $549.00 before applicable taxes.
A HomeStore sells Ashley and nothing else. We sell it next to Canadian makers such as Decor-Rest and Island Living, so the cheaper and dearer options can be compared in one visit.
Where can I buy Ashley furniture on Vancouver Island?
Ashley furniture on the Island is sold through one HomeStore and through independent dealers. Ashley Canada's store locator lists HomeStores in 13 British Columbia communities, and Victoria is the only Island town among them. Outside Victoria, buying Ashley means buying from a store that carries other makers as well, as we do.
Our Ashley range is split by store. Of the 648 pieces, 360 can be ordered through Duncan, and every online order goes through Duncan as well. Port Alberni carries 362 and Campbell River 170, and plenty of pieces sit at two or three stores at once. The 288 that Duncan does not carry show "call to order", and the store that does carry them handles the sale.
Addresses, hours and driving times for all of our locations are in the guide to Merit's Island stores. The Duncan store at 107 Ingram St is the Merit location nearest Victoria. On October 16, 49 of our Ashley pages named a display model there. Displays rotate, so ring before the drive to hear which pieces are set up to sit in.
The Barnsana power reclining sofa is one of those Duncan display pieces, listed at $1,899.00. Its page gives a fully reclined length of 67 inches and 3 inches of wall clearance, which is the gap it needs behind it to recline.

These counts and prices were read from our live Ashley pages on October 16, 2026, before applicable taxes. Each range covers the pieces through Duncan, from the cheapest colour or size in the category to the dearest one. Pieces carried only at Campbell River or Port Alberni are call for our best price.

Colour changes the price on a lot of Ashley pages, so check the one you want before comparing. The SimpleJoy recliner lists Onyx at $449.00 and Navy at $799.00. Every piece in the table is in our Ashley collection.
Is Ashley furniture considered cheap, or is it high end?
Ashley furniture sits in the middle of the market, nearer the low end than the high end. It is priced for a first home, a rental, a cottage or a family room that gets redone every several years.
The listings say plainly what sits under the cover. The Olten sofa page lists a "Reinforced frame", "High-quality foam cushions wrapped in poly fiber" and feet with a "faux wood finish". Faux wood means a wood look on another material.
The Erinberg set, a table with four chairs and a bench for $1,299.00, lists "rubberwood solids, mindi veneer and MDF substrates" for the table. MDF is medium density fibreboard, pressed from wood fibre and resin. Veneer is a thin sheet of wood laid over it.
That is ordinary construction at this price, and plenty of it lasts. Ashley's Olten page also says its platform seat base "resists sagging 3x better than spring system after 20,000 testing cycles". That is Ashley's own test, and I can't check it.
Ashley is weaker on custom work. Covers come only in the colours on the page, and the sizes are fixed. A sofa built to your length and fabric is a Decor-Rest or Island Living order instead, and the custom order guide explains how those are timed. What Ashley's warranty covers, part by part
Ashley publishes one set of limited warranties for its furniture. This table condenses Ashley's own page, read on October 3, 2026.

In Ashley's words, it warrants "all mechanisms used in recliners for five years from the date of purchase". It adds, "After one year from the date of purchase, the recliner mechanism warranty covers replacement parts only". Labour, packing and shipping after that first year fall to the owner.
Our product pages print 1 year in the warranty line on 276 Ashley listings. That matches Ashley's term for covers, cushions and most parts, while frames and recliner mechanisms run longer on Ashley's own page.
Ashley's claim procedure says to "contact the Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. authorized retailer from whom you purchased your furniture." For a piece bought from us, that's Merit. Ordering Ashley through our Duncan store, step by step
- Measure first. Our Ashley pages print the overall width, depth and height. Hold those against the room, the doorways and any turn in the stairs.
- Choose the colour on the page. The price on our page is set per colour, and that colour is the one ordered.
- Place the order. Order online, by phone or in person at Duncan. A special order takes a 24% deposit, and how exchanges work on an order like this is set out in its own guide.
- Allow 4 to 6 weeks. That is Ashley's lead time until the piece is ready for pickup or delivery.
- Delivery or pickup. From Duncan it's $150 across the Island with assembly, delivery to some Gulf Islands is arranged on a call, and pickup at Duncan is free.
- Keep the paperwork. Ashley says "The original bill of sale and the product serial number are necessary for the fulfillment of the warranty."
Those delivery terms are Duncan's. Campbell River and Port Alberni set their own, so ask the store you buy from. Is it cheaper to buy Ashley online or in a store?
Ashley's own stores set their own prices, and we can't speak for them. From us, the total is the listed price, applicable taxes and either $150 delivery with assembly or free pickup in Duncan. When comparing quotes from two stores, compare that delivered total, assembly included, before anything else.
Where buying Ashley from us falls short
Our site carries only the Ashley that one of our stores stocks or orders, which is a slice of Ashley's catalogue. A piece seen at a HomeStore may not be on our pages. Call with the name or the model number, and we'll say whether we can get it.
Display models are a special case. Ashley's warranty excludes merchandise "used as a floor sample or display model", so ask how we'd handle a Duncan display piece before buying one.
The lifetime frame term sounds bigger than it is. After the first year it pays for parts only, so a repair in year four still costs the labour.
Online orders run through Duncan only for now. A piece carried only in Campbell River or Port Alberni means a phone call, and their delivery terms may differ from Duncan's.
