Warranty and Repairs

Warranty and repairs

Merit backs the manufacturer warranty on everything we sell. If something goes wrong, you deal with us, not a call centre. We order the parts and we do the repairs, and our own furniture repair technician handles the warranty work.

Appliances work differently. Danby, which makes the Silhouette wine coolers and beverage centres we list, has its warranty repairs done by its own authorized servicers, and its warranty doesn't cover repairs by anyone else. For an appliance, start the claim with the maker, or call the Campbell River or Port Alberni store you bought it from.

Each manufacturer sets its own warranty period. We are happy to tell you exactly what your piece is covered for before you buy.

What a standard warranty does not cover

Accidental damage is not part of a manufacturer warranty. That means stains, rips, tears, cuts and burns.

Extended protection, for the accidents

If you want cover for accidents, we offer an extended warranty through SmartOne by Zucora, a Canadian company. It covers you for up to five years from your purchase date, they send someone directly to you for repairs, and it also covers the electronics in power recliners.
